100th Anniversary of Powered Flight - at the Shuttleworth Collection
These pictures were taken at Old Warden, a historic aerodrome in deepest Bedfordshire famed for
its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. 95 aircraft visited the aerodrome on the day, and flying
displays were put on by some of the resident types - Tiger Moth, Magister and Boxkite replica. At 15:35
local time (10:35 Kittyhawk time), a symbolic 120 foot 'hop' was performed by the Boxkite, followed by
two longer flights flown by pilots Dodge Bailey and Trevor Roche.
If you flew into Old Warden on this day and would like a picture of your aircraft please

10% of the profits from sales of these pictures will be donated to the Shuttleworth Veteran Aeroplane Society.
