 | Showing photos 1 to 24 of 65 | |
After 66 years of serving the nation, RAF Coltishall disbanded on 1st April 2006 and finally closed as an RAF station on 30th November 2006. 41 Squadron stood down as a Jaguar unit and became 41(Reserve) Squadron - a new name badge for the Fast Jet and Weapons Operational Conversion Unit at RAF Coningsby. 6 Squadron remain as the last Jaguar squadron in the RAF, but also departed Coltishall for their new home at Coningsby. This gallery covers the mass Jaguar departures on 29th March, the disbandment flypasts and departures on 1st April, the very last front-line movement from RAF Coltishall - Jaguar XZ112 flying out on 3rd April, and finally the closure parade and flypasts on 30th November.
