The Sea Harriers of 801 Naval Air Squadron were stood down on 28th March 2006, marking an end to 25 years of Sea Harrier operations with the squadron. The next day this last handful of Sea Harriers was flown into storage at RAF Shawbury, with one going to RNAS Culdrose as a ground handling training aid. The star of the Falklands War is now just history. The event was commemorated with a final flypast of 5 of the squadron's Sea Harrier FA.2s. This gallery contains a selection of pictures from the day.
